Boarding and Training

Boarding

In addition to lessons, Mephibosheth Farm also offers horse boarding. We have a variety of pasture/cover combinations including two large pastures with multiple run-in sheds, a barn with a small attached pasture and a dry lot with two stalls for horses with a restricted diet or injuries.  Riding trails are open anytime during the day and a lighted, covered arena is available anytime sessions are not being held within.

Training

Michael's training methods are completely focused on the horse. He firmly believe what is best for the horse is what is best for the rider.

Inspired by Tom Dorrence, Ray Hunt, Chris Cox and Clinton Anderson's calm, gentle and effective methods, He have developed a unique method of his own. This method is focused on time proven steps that build a strong foundation. In the same way that a house would crumble without a solid foundation, he feels a horse can never reach it's potential without a concrete foundation.

Whether your horse is green, is a "problem" horse or just needs a tuneup, Michael can help you. Call or email today to set up an evaluation for you and your horse!

Funds raised through horse boarding and training go toward session fees for therapeutic horseback riders who are unable to contribute financially to the cost of their needed therapy.
